My husband left for BC 8/3, got THE BOX yesterday, and got a phone call today!!!!!!! OMG, I was caught off guard! It was amazing and I couldn't stop smiling! I didn't expect a call for another two weeks, and I got one on day 4!!! This is a good sign right?! He said he is the RCPO?, looking that up in a min. and he is part of Drill ________ something, going to look that up too.
This was just what I needed after being locked out of our house for 4 hours bc the garage door broke. Did I mention it is 108 degrees outside? So the kids and I went to the pool! AND Daddy called!!!! Oh and his PIR is Oct. 1st! I am on cloud 9! Is there a cloud higher than 9?

RPOC - Recruit Petty Officer, Chief - Congrats to him more PT (physical training) If you are getting calls on day 4 they must have a real nice RDC. You will probably get many calls if they are already letting them call on day 4. His division obviously does not have my sons RDC in it. LOL you were really lucky to get phone calls today. Good luck to you and your husband.
Thanks, I hope he gets more calls, I told him to keep up the good work to earn them as much as possible. He is the old guy in the group, so I am sure he has to prove himself. I almost didn't recognize his voice, it was so horse from all the yelling!
Yes my son was always horse from yelling also. He was horse PIR weekend too. My son is in A school at GL and he just called from Chicago. They are getting ready to go back to base and I told him you guys got day 4 phone calls. He was like WHAT. He said the same thing I said. They obviously don't have his RDC. LOL
Congrats to your husband. My son made division leader and he said it is fun and sucks at the sametime. When the recruits do not do what they are told it is his butt on line, and he is the one that gets yelled out and has to do the PT. My son has 13 days left of BC, his PIR is 8/20/10. You were very lucky to get a call on day 4 you husband must have very nice RDC's. My son call me on week 3, and I got another phone this past week. God Bless You and Family. Here is a motto to remember if you do not get the phone calls - no news is good news.

Debbie
Thanks Debbie, I was expecting to get a letter in the mail before a phone call. I actually thought something was wrong when I answered. I kept asking him if he was ok, if something was wrong. Guess I was thinking no news was good news allready. But it was all good!
Blessings!!
congrats on the phone call. my son left on 8/3 also. I did get a call today but I missed it. He did leave a message but did not tell me a PIR date.
LTLY okay now is time to create your PIR group. It's fun and a great way to pass the time. It'll be a great source of info and support.

Yay for the phone call as well !!!!

If you need help adding the group let me know
So your the nice lady who loves rocky road ice cream. lol Your husband must have got the same RDC that my T had in bc cause he called me about 6 days into bc. and every week after that too. His division won the flag something "Gold" with initials. His div had the same number of intellectuals as they did of physical Sr's...cause they scored really well within the other divisions...I think that the Sr's were really hungry to "getter done". lol

Good luck, and write those letters they love them!!
Yup, I am surprised my 1/2 gal. of rocky road has lasted this long!! But I still have a few bowls left in there! How encouraging to think I might get a phone call each week!
Group PIR 10/1/10 is started! I allready booked my room! LOL, I just couldn't help myself. Of course they can be cancelled if something changes, but for now, I am satisfied!
Texas, hot and sweaty Texas! But I love it! Especially when it is 72 in December!
Those of you who have received your form letter and your PIR date is 10/1...here is the link to your PIR group, just click on the http address http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir10110
