Hello All!
Graduating from bootcamp is such a huge milestone for these sailors! I feel it most definitely deserves a gift of some sort. What did you guys give to your sailors or plan to give to your sailors for PIR?
Thanks so much!

I've heard a lot about the challenge coins, hadn't thought about the candy! Thank you!
We attended his graduation (lots of $ to do this, we flew from Florida), hugs, homemade cookies (several tins), paid for everything for him that weekend, trip to Navy Pier, meals, train fare,, taxi fares, tour bus of Chicago, Sears Tower (forgot what it's called now) and all meals. Paid for his cell phone for 1 year...with the works.... :)
That's a great idea! Also flying with a budget! Thanks for your input!
Challenge Coin and hopefully a beautiful graduation weekend!
I forget that the weekend (or afternoon for my sailor) is all part of the graduation experience! Chicago seems like a great place to make memories!
I bought my son a book called "The Navy" ISBN # 978-1-4351-4454-5. It's from the Navy Historical Foundation and quite impressive with the Navy United States seal on the front cover. You can get it from Barnes & Noble.
I think I've seen it before! This would be the perfect occasion for that, thanks!!!
I ordered a keepsake box:

I had several former military members tell me they wish they had something like this early in their career. They did a fantastic job and even rushed my order for me.
That link didn't work for me, but I have been thinking of a box for all of their letters and such! Etsy is probably a great place to look, thank you!

I don't think is the exact one but this is the guy who did mine.
Those are great, thanks for the suggestion!
