For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello
Does anyone here have a relative in this group? My son is with this group, and I can hardly wait for the PIR (and my vacation from work that is coming with it) to see him again!!
He has been living with his Dad and Stepmom for a while in another state. The form letter and the box went to their house. Stepmom was kind enough to get me a copy of the letter though. When saw the form letter which looked so official; I lost it. I can only imagine what it is like to get the box too!
He shipped out on 6.22 and it's been driving me crazy, the idea that I can't just call when the idea comes to me! How does everyone cope with that?
I hope we can get to know each other while we wait for our Sailors. It may be a challenging 6 weeks for us

Yes I understand my son shipped 6/21 .I miss him and think of him almost every second of every day. The box and the letter were very difficult. but the not knowing is the hardest.

Certianly understand, my SR is also in this group. I've come up with ways to keep busy to help with the missing part, plus I know it would just hurt my SR if he knew I was not being strong like I expect him to be.

Hello everyone. My SR is ship 10 div 261. I got my first call yesterday which was so awesome. He earned the call by having one of the best shined shoes. I don't think he even knew shoes could be shined before BC. He has made some new friends and sounded pretty good, just a little homesick. It will be great to get to know you all that have loved ones in this same division. Happy 4th of July! It means even more this year. Only 38 more days :)
