I received my son's box today
I cant help but wonder why I havent received mine.
I just got the box!!!
W was sent back.ell, just dirty clothes and her writing material. Now what is she going to do? We sent what they said but it
was sent back. How will she write me now?
they will give her paper to write you the first I "think" is a form letter
they actually and I am told this by an old navy guy, that they will make sure they have it ..so you will get your letter.....
Thank you...I am just feeling sorry for myself right now. I'm over it now. Thanks! I know they'll give her what she needs..it's
just to see it all come back home brought me down for a minute.
you know when i got my box this afternoon it was bitter sweet...completely understand...
You know...I expected to ball my eyes out, but I didnt. All this reading other people's stories has really helped
me. I guess bc I knew what to expect.
My son is also on Ship 12 Div 295 & I received the box in the mail yesterday. Dirty clothes, cell phone & some other misc papers. Got a phone call & e-mail from his recruiter on Monday with his mailing address. This is my first experience with boot camp so all the info on this site is so very helpful.
Cooper, glad to see someone else here from the same ship and division. Havent seen anyone else. This is my first time, too.
This is great. It has definitely helped me...at least to give me something to focus on. I am waiting on the form letter now..
then a phone call, etc.
I am also very happy to find someone else from the same ship & Div.
No form letter received today. Not sure what info will be on the letter but I am anxious for any type of correspondence. I mailed out my first handwritten letter to my son yesterday so I am hoping he gets it soon & writes back so I can see how he is doing. So hard not knowing.....it has been a week today since I have spoken to him, The last time was the call letting me know he made it there ok. Very short & serious but thankful to hear his voice. I do not expect another call for a while, but still have my phone by me at all times.
