I do, where are you from?  We are from Illinois. Are going to the graduaion?

Hi! We're from North Dakota and heck yes, we're going to the graduation! : ) Tell me more about your son/daughter and situation....
My son is going to have his 23rd birthday while at bootcamp.  He is the oldest of 4 and his 19 yr old sister is following him to bootcamp.  She leaves in May or July, we have been told different dates.  He decided to join the Navy after deciding that he wasnt going to live the kind of life he wanted on his income.  He still lived at home and it was time for him to spread his wings.  Are you flying or driving to grad?  Tell me about your kido.  I think that div 811 is a tougher group, did you get that?  Is your son going to BUDS after bootcamp?
Mine too, the ymca gave them free membership and they (my son and daughter) worked out 5 days a week.  Aaron started that MMA but kept getting hurt like bruised ribs so he stopped that and worked on swimming, rumnning and pull ups. Its amazing what they can do.  I didnt know he had it in him but he started to love running. good thing cause I think he will get lots of it.  It would be cool if this group could meet in Chicage during that weekend, I think we are planning on getting there thurs and leaving sun.  I found a motel 6 for 50$ a night. 4 miles from base.  It was in the brocher that they sent us with the letter.

Yes, my son is going to BUDS and graduated as well in May 2010. He was supposed to go to training camp in November but switched from Nuke to SEAL thus changing his date. He worked out daily and worked at a restaurant while waiting. Kept all of us sane! : ) We'll fly out Thursday from Mpls and fly back Sunday. I am a teacher and will have one week of school when I return. As if my mind will be on that!

here is the link to your PIR group   http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir52011
thanks! I still don't quite get the navigation of this whole site, but you are making it easier. I appreciate it!

we received our letter before the box.   Ship 04 must be where they sleep?  Or is there really ships there?  LOL

hey, mine too! where are you from?  Can't wait till graduation!!!! I miss him soo much.

We are from TN.  Just got our letter today.  He is also in Ship 4 Div 811.  He will also be going to BUDS.  He graduated in 2008, went to college for 2 years then decided he wanted to pursue his dream of becoming a Navy Seal.  What rank did your sons go in as?  My signed as an E-3, and then the day he left, they changed him to a E-1.. Did this happen to any of your sons?

Anyway, can't wait to see him.  Sending letter/photos tonight!!

How fun to chat with moms whose sons are S4D811! I can't remember what he went in as; is that sad?  There was so much to do before he left and the weather wasn't cooperating, so it was on our minds as well. We sent a big letter on Tuesday and will probably send another on Friday. He's got a lot of people writing to him on several different fronts, so he'll be inundated! Any ideas where you're staying at yet?
yes, i am writing my first big letter now to send tomorrow morning...will go to post office before going to work. Just went and bought stamps and calling card. Idk right now where we will be staying.  Do you know if they get their cell phones/computers in Pre-Buds.  It will be so much better when he can call us..
