I have never been so alone feeling and can't stop crying! I miss him so much but know that I have never felt such pride! He is GL and I am so happy to know that he is safe! We have never been apart for more than a week. He is 18 and a great kid. I feel like I gave up a child but I know that this is for his best interest!
I don't know how to cope yet without him since he has always been around!!! UGH!!!

I know exactly how you feel. My son left Monday as well. Do you his ship and div? My son is 7/080.
His is the same according to the recruiter. Did you get your address for him from his recruiter?
Thank you so much for your encouragment. It means alot!
Yes, his recruiter emailed me yesterday. That is great! It is nice to find someone in the same division.
Oh, God!!! I don't know if I can handle that yet! Was your form letter in it?
My son just left on Monday, 1/9/12 for BC. Although he is doing this at an older age, the feelings are the same. I miss him so much and it is just that I have no way of communicating with him and I don't know anything right now. I am going to call the recruiter this afternoon. He said he would give me his address today. It is just good to know that I am not alone. I have people also thinking I am crazy for crying, or being upset. They just don't understand. I am so proud that he made this decision and I know it is going to be tough. I have decided that if he can go through what he is going through, I can suffer a little also, so I am going to eat right and lose weight. We did this together before he left, and then I kinda of backslid. We will both be better for this, so I have a goal to be at by the time he graduates!
OMG!!! I did the same thing about the exercising!! I figure that I need to get into shape so I can at least surprise him when I seen him graduate!
You aren't crazy!! Be proud and mourn the passing of that part of our lives with our children. It is normal! But be grateful that we have more time with them. They are safe and well taken care of.
Good luck! I sent a reminder so I see it everymorning when I get up and it says "If Russell can do it - so can you! I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Thank you!
I ordered the Zumba Exhilaration DVD set. LOL!! I am going to Zumba my way to a better bod!!!
What division and ship is he on? 07/080?
Yes that's it, 07/080. I just got off the phone with the recruiter. I work, and I am trying to keep my mind on it but it's hard. I just want to stay on this website all day! I have to get a bum knee fixed and the I want to try the Zumba. I heard it is alot of fun but also works. Tae Bo is really good also. You are going to Graduation, right? I can't wait. I have had trouble posting my profile picture, got any suggestions. It says it has to be a jpg file and it is...
