My son left on 8/23 and I haven't even gotten his box yet. :(  He said before he left his PIR will probably be 10/18 but I am thinking at this point since I have not received anything yet and since he arrived late on a Friday his PIR will be 10/25 as well.  You're the first person I've seen on here with that PIR date, but it is not posted on the link for PIR dates yet.  I am VERY anxious as well!!!

BTW, here is the link for the groups by PIR date (even though 10/25 is not listed yet): http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date

I also see you are in Orlando.  We are in Jacksonville.  Did he go to MEPS here?

Yes, he left out of Jacksonville!  We we're there for the swearing in and then went to the airport with him.  His recruiter gave me his PIR date, Ship, Div and address to write to him but I'm waiting on the form letter.  Hopefully it will come today!!  We got his box Tuesday the 27th.

My son arrived at BC 8-21-13 . He call me about 8:25 to say he was at the GL. I got his box Tuesday and was hopping for the form letter today. But it didn't come. Maybe tomorrow.

my don is in ship 3, div 401, pir 10/25/2013. he got to great lakes on 8/21/2013, we got the box on 8/23/2013, and today we got the form letter. I am so excited. I also got his address this past Tuesday from the recruiter, but I was waiting to make sure it was the correct address and it is. now i'm going to start to write letters. on Monday i'm going to drop some envelopes with his address and a stamp at his karate school that he has been going to for the past 12 years. the kids love him and miss him so much. the man and his wife that owns the school is looking forward to having his address.

I wrote my don, it should be my son. I have to slow down when I type.

Hi diane,

My son is Ship 3, Div 401, PIR 10-25 also.  He left on 8-21, got the box on Tuesday the 27th and still waiting on the form letter.  Nice to know someone on the same journey in the same Div as my son.

This is the link to our PIR group if you haven't joined yet.

Got the box today! Finally! Kinda bittersweet though.  Now waiting for the letter.  I think we may all have the same PIR date of 10/25.

PIR 8-25 is what I've been thinking. The box was bittersweet. I'm not a very patient person. So I'm losing my mind waiting for the form letter. My youngest son says I need to find a hobby. Lol
Received the form letter and Kid in the Box today. She is in Ship 14 Div 399. PIR 10/25/13
Boot camp arrival 8/26/13. PIR date 10/25 ship 13 div 403. Anyone else?
