Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

The Box
My son left on February 22, 2011 and I got my box on the 24th What a shock I heard all about the box but like everyone a wave of emotions come over you. I search everything looking for a note or something from him but there wasn't anything. I received his mailing address from his recruiter so I already sent a couple of cards down just waiting for something from him Missing him terrible. The waiting is the hardest part .

Getting the BOX is hard! You WILL get a letter from your son soon. It will be the best day ever! First you will get a form letter that will have his address on it and some general information. It will have a short note from your recruit. My recruit was not very happy when he wrote his. Then you will get a real letter in the mail. It doesn't seem like it now but time goes fast. My son left for bootcamp DEC 14 and I got the form letter Christmas Eve. Then a couple more weeks and I started getting letters. Keep sending letters. You will get yours soon!! You will see growth in your son through each letter. I miss the letters but like it better now that my son is in A school and we can be in touch most every day. Start looking forward to graduation. It will be Spring in Chicago and it is a wonderful weekend!! You have a lot to look forward to. N4Moms was a wonderful place to be while waiting.

Reneric.... go to your My Page and click on edit and add your SR's Ship / Div after your profile name. It will make it easier for others to find you and you to find them! Good luck, visit lots of the groups and find some new friends! I found a friend who goes to my Church, LOL!
