OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Rachel, you said it beautifully! All of us in other classes will be smiling and lifting up praises for you all next week. I had dinner with a "new" mom last week whose son is still in Great Lakes. She asked how I handled the emotional rollercoaster and I tried to explain about the Moms on this site. Hopefully she will take my advice and sign onto her Class Page. Not only has this been a journey for my son (and continues to be in class 283) but a spiritual journey for me. I have felt my faith grow and develop along with you all. Thank you for your prayers also!  Happy Easter!

Hi Everyone!  I'm actually leaving a week from today to go to SF on business then to SD on the 28th.  I can't believe 1 week!!!!!  I can't wait to meet everyone.  Like RoosMama, my son finished Sere already, which I'm grateful for.  Prayers are going out to all our guys and the guys in 283 in Jump school. Hope everyone has a nice day today.
