Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

hey Im Grace from Washington and my hubby just got orders for China Lake... Anyone there? Anyone know anything about it?

i don't know much about China lake except it's in ridgecrest. I live in lake Isabella about 45min from there. I don't know anyone who is stationed there my son just went to bc. What kinda info are you looking for

I just dont really know the area at all so Im trying to figure out neighborhoods and schools and all that. Also trying to figure out what stores and things are there. Theres not a lot of information online. I just created a china lake group in hopes of finding other people!

I really can't tell you about the schools other than the college.which is a good one it has daycare too. Ridgecrest isn't big but it does have stater bros, kmart , walmart, dollar tree, home depot. Fast food taco bell, carls jr, mc donalds, dennys , pizza, a small movie theater. they have others these are just a few major places. They have a hospital too. Desserty type of town hot in summer nice/ little chilly in winter. I know this isn't much info but i hope it helps

its a lot more helpful than anyone else ive talked to who dont even know where it is!! thank you! we will be going there in the beginning of january/last week of december! Im very nervous...theres no groups or anything for that base and I havent met anyone else thats there. really wish I could meet a few people to chat with about neighborhoods and stuff so Im not going in blind to apartment hunt!! anyways thank you so  much
