FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi My son Adams PIR was Sept 12th, he is now in A school is Great Lakes. I am in Thousand Oaks about 50 miles north of LA anyone else around here? Adam is my youngest of 6, I can't wait to have him home even if its for a short while.

Thanks, Kimberly! I am originally from Westchester (close to LAX), in fact my parents still live there and have since 1942. I lived in Cypress, then Riverside for 23 years. My husbands work moved us to Omaha, 2 years ago. Boy, let me tell you, I do miss southern Cali, A LOT!!! I've been back about 10 times since I've moved here!! Oh and we still have a place in Blythe, on the river.

Hi I'm Sylvia from Montclair. My son has been at GL for 3 weeks, PIR on 9/26. Tomorrow is letter day!!!! Congrats Kimberly, San Diego will be awesome!!
