when & how does he apply to be a brown bagger?  I want to move down there with him.  Will the Navy pay for that?

TB1983- It depends on if he is a brown bagger while he is in FMTB.  A brown bagger is someone who can live at home with his family and go to work everyday and not live on base in a barricks but he has to apply for that and he can only be a brown bagger if you are living here.  my husband is an HM and also went to A-school in great lakes.  if you want him to be a brown bagger I would move when he does.  please let me know if you have anymore questions.

Hi everyone!  I just found this group.  I have a questions & I was hoping someone can answer it or point me in the direction of the answer..

My Hubs is in HM - A School at Great Lakes.  He graduates at the end of July.

After that, he is suppose to report to Camp Lejeune & work in a hospital while waiting for FMTB- which starts in October.  Once he completes FMTB, we are going to be stationed at Cherry Point, NC. (about an hour away)

So- My question is:  When do we move?  Can we move once he graduates HM school and live near Cherry Point while he is working in Camp Lejeune?  If that is the case, can he live with us & commute to work- until he starts FMTB?
