For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Camp Lejeune / Camp Johnson / Field Medical Training Battalion moms, family and friends - Welcome! Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune is home to more than 47,000 Marine and Sailors from around the world. FMTB, the eight-week training course for corpsmen, is on Camp Johnson, adjacent to Camp Lejeune.

Comment by vanjr1 on December 9, 2013 at 2:52pm: My son wanted to go for FMF which, as I understand it, follows FMTB but he got assigned to Cherry Point instead. He will still complete FMTB and hopefully get the opportunity to pursue FMF in the future. He wants to be attached to a Marine Corps Division. Not sure how it all works yet.

He is there now and volunteered to help in maintenance while he waits for his class to start. He is very into physical fitness and can't wait for that part of training. I'm sure he will enjoy it as your son did. God Bless!

He says he can't wait to start. He likes the physical aspect of training more than anything. I will be posting now and then.
