Judy - Those dress blues (black?) are so nice. Until you have to use the restroom!! Holy smokes, 13 buttons!! And typical boy, food on the mind!! I'm glad T made it o.k. I am going to make a few tweaks to my user name for security.

On a second note, If your Sailor will be headed overseas I just found out that it's a very good idea for the Sailors to apply for their passport if they don't have one yet. Jamie was under the impression that his Military ID would be fine, but for his safety he needs to use a passport when he's sightseeing in Italy/Europe.

Good Morning All, We finally made it to CP yesterday. As T was walking in his dress blues (so Handsome) with his file through the parking lot he came upon a Commander with a trunk load of store bags "She" was struggling to get into the building...He asked her if he could help, I guess...It was the building where they check-in. Well after what seemed to be forever T came back to the car and all I said is"T, you are such a gentleman...I'm so proud of you", then he said I only have an hour before muster...Let's Eat!!

I wanted to clear up my meaning from my last post! I envisioned us Moms/GF's/Wives keeping up with our Corpsman kinda like they do using acronyms and first initials when posting about the going on over there...I'm just interested in sharing good/bad news from there...that is where I was going with it.

It was a long day yesterday but now my son is ready to begin his FMTB training. I'm sure I won't hear from him as much since they'll be really busy. Countdown for us begins until we see him again.

Ruth - your right. I'm usually very careful about that too.

I got a call as he was sitting on the plane ready for take-off!! Most of the guys he knows from his class are there already. Whoever the travel agent is at Great Lakes really has him cutting it close.

We are getting ready to say our goodbye's as Jamie prepares to leave to join up with the others already at Camp P for FMTB. As a Mom I don't think it's ever going to get easy!! He's excited so that makes me feel better.

Good Morning, It's going to be a "beautiful day in the neighborhood", I can feel it!! Because All our Corpsman will be starting their FMTB..Yay!! It sure would be nice to have/start a list of corpsman going to Camp Pendleton or maybe we all can sign in tomorrow as are Corpsman will this way we can match names with Moms, and have no problem getting on here and share phone calls, text and Mail from our Corpsman...just a thought. I'm horrible at remembering names...numbers come easier then names..."I know, I'm just built that way!! So shoot me. LOL

You are right, Carol! Joe said something about 3 divisions. And he doesn't sound too thrilled about the barracks! He got used to having privacy, but that's gonna change ;)
