Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi, Im new to this group. I live in Tampa, Fl. and have 2 sailors. One is stationed in Virgina Beach J1 (oldest) and J2 (youngest) is getting ready to leave GL for California. J1 PIR ed 14Jan2011 and J2 23Nov2011. My middle son just left after the holidays to complete his studies at GA TECH. I was lucky to have all 3 of my guys home for the holidays it was awesome. Now i miss them every day.....

if you have his flight #....google flightttracker and put in the flight info and you can track his flight...that always makes me feel better watching a lil plane on the screen AND you know if there are delays and that he made it there safely...hope to see you on Japan Mom's...welcome and let me know if I can help, I am also new @ this, my son went to Japan in Sept, but us Mom's truely make it easier !
Zim's Mom...LindaA is right about the Japan mom's site...check it out, they are an awesome group of women with lots of info and support to offer. I don't think I have seen a question go unanswered nor a fear or rant pass without comforting words..hope to see you there :)

Here's a BIG {{HUGG}} to you Zim's Mom... it's hard on us but so good for them ... contact Navy Mary on this site ... I believe her son is also in Okinawa. JLmom(Lisa),, Sasebo was the first port of call for my Sailor (on the USS Ronald Reagan) after they assisted in the tsunami efforts... he said the people were so kind and gracious and he loved it. Navy Mary's son also loves Japan, and I know my son would probably jump at the opportunity to be there.

Hello Ladies, I am located near Daytona Beach (DeLeon Springs, to be exact) My son is stationed in Sasebo, Japan. He has only been there since Sept 2011. Anyone with a Sailor there?
