OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Diane, not at all. You said what I've been feeling about this lady all along. I just don't get it why they do that. That's exactly, to a tee, what this woman does. Why be so secretive. If it must be such a secret don't say it. You-bitchy I'd never think of you that way-I think you're great as do, I'm sure, all the other moms here on this group.

OMG...I hate when people send PM....to whole groups with updates of there sailors.....Don't get me wrong, I am not being bitchy....but I have a few on "My friends" list-that the only time you hear from them is through PM....and its always a novel about their sailor and then the person disappears into the woodwork for another 3 months....
OK...I know I sound bitchy but ya know...there is this ONE mom...that does it..she is NEVER on here...and her message DRIVE THIS GIRL INSANE...so ya..know...I am gonna "remove" her from my friends list....I know...call me a BITCH...LOL

Thanks, Diane. I was just paranoid because I am no computer genius (we sure do miss our son the IT-he always was here to help us when it came to technical stuff). Geesh-that is a lady from my sons PIR. She's forever sending those 'private' messages rather than just posting it on the groups page-don't know why she does it that way. But thanks for making me feel safe enough to open it.

HELP-does anybody know who P'Nut is? I got a private message from this person saying they were Jam. I'm afraid it's one of those freaks I've heard people talking about and I don't want to open it and I don't know how to report it. Please let me know.........

Happy for you all that you'll soon see your sailors.
