Wow so if Justin gets Japan, as he wants, then we may be in the same situation of not seeing him. Not looking forward to that part. We fly free but we'd still need $ for everything else.

On a different subject....I met this young guy today that just started with the Insurance Company that I'll be working for once I pass my state test this Thursday (please pray for me on that...) This guy was only 25 years old (I'm thinking he must be turning 26 soon) and he said he'll loose his $400k in life insurance in 3 days that he had with the Navy. He was a medic and just finished his 8th year. Said he was only going to sign up for 4 yrs then decided to do 8 so he wouldn't have to be reserves for 4 yrs. I'm thinking to myself...are jobs that hard to find that a Medic can't find a job? I'd think that would carry some huge weight for him to find a job. But, then again, what we'll be doing selling health, life and annuities is suppossed to be making some really good money-which is why I landed with doing this and stopping my more traditional job search. Maybe he has no work history since he was so young when he enlisted. I'll ask him more questions if I'm able to. Wouldn't you all think he could find a good job in his expertise?

Fantastic, Jennifer. Glad you'll be with your son. Where is his next duty station? Our son is coming home next weekend from PNS. He has class til 1am then is going to drive here (nervous about that) and then he has to be back to base by noon Monday. Not really sure why he wants to do 6-7 hrs driving for, basically, 1 1/2 days-but he's young I guess. It's his first weekend of Phase III and I guess he just wants to get out. I told my hubby I may not come to the meet n greet but, then, he said Justin won't be home so I should go ahead and come.

Hello Everyone! It is my privilege to choose our March Group! First, though, I must extend hearty anniversary wishes to Navy for Moms.com! Yesterday I consulted with my "posse" who write letters and add to the boxes every month. They are ages 2 through 11. We looked at maps and anysailor. We are going to Kuwait this month. This is a Medivac unit who work 24/7 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. There are 25 males and 5 females. They come from Guam and SanDiego. They do have a refrigerator and a microwave.

Welcome Eileen. Glad you're here. I can't say enough about these ladies. I discovered them in January this year 2 weeks or so before my sons graduation, which is when I decided to go their first get together. It was a lot of fun meeting those moms I'd met thru the N4M site and they gave great information to help me, since they'd already been thru that with their sailors. We have moms that their sailors haven't yet gotten to BC, those that are in BC, those that are in A school and those that are deployed-but we all have a common bond. Please come and join and meet us. Congrats to your daughter (and yourselves) for her accomplishments!

Thanks, Lynne, for the clarification. I get you gals confused on whose sailor is in what A school. I'll bet you wished he was in PNS instead-however that drive is a killer. It takes us 7 hrs-yuck, but it could be worse. Justin thinks he's going to come home in a couple weeks with a couple of buddies so they can go to Disney. We think it's a major bad idea since he's in school til 1am. He says he's going to leave right after school., We shall see. He'll be 19 in a couple weeks and his adrenaline is far better than ours.

See y'all soon.

Lynne, congrats on your sons accomplishments. He's in PNS-right? Our son is there and just started his A schooling last Thursday (he'd been on hold for the IT schooling since 1/30/09). He's not said anything about C schooling so I'm not sure what that is. I'll have to ask him. Our son wants to go to Japan so we're trying to see him as much as we can now, as you're doing with your son, for fear that we won't see him much the next several years.

Hey ladies, I've invited a brand new mom to come to our group. I told her how fantastic you all are. Her son just got to Boot Camp and she may come to our get together. I've given her all the links for details. She lives in Ocoee. Coleen-are your ears burning?
