Not sure if anyone of you have heard but the USS Ponce will be in Cape Canaveral from November 1 - 5 and will be open to the public and are suppose to be offering tours of the ship.  Thought this might be something you might be interested in.  I plan on definitely checking it out.

Awesome Lynn!  We look forward to seeing you there.  Yes, please bring things to pack, -- we will have the boxes and address labels, etc. .  West Town is off of SR 434 across from Costco in Altamonte Springs (just south of SR 436).  Are you in this area of town? It will be so nice to meet more sailor's moms from around here!

Welcome Sandy!  We would love to meet you at the Packing Party on the 6th!  It is going to be from 1-3ish at Panera next to WalMart---West Town Center---we are packing boxes for Marines deployed to Afghanistan...if you need to know what type of items to bring, just think along the lines of "what would I send to my son/daughter in a box for the holiday" -- non-perishable, compact snacks (not too many sweets), toiletries, books, games, etc. -- if you need a more detailed list just message me with you email addy and I will send to you (see "invite friends" up at the top right of this page).  What stage is your sailor in? What rate?  I'm glad you found us!

I am new to this site I am in Apopka and would love to help in any way possible. I have heard about the packing party's but not really sure what it's all about. I was also wondering if the group sends out cards for the holidays to certain ships. Let me know. Thanks Sandy
