FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thank you Mary for the invite. I may just stop by on Saturday.   Beth - Thank you so much. I too am glad they are out.  I read, I believe it was Command 7th Fleet (fb) that they are watching the winds so they can keep moving ships and helos out of the radiation.  So proud of them all.  My son is a PS-Petty 1st Class.

Lindalay, getting a packing party together is not difficult, but unfortunatley right now it very hard to get items sent to Japan/Sailors, Some CO's are saying "WAIT"...things are on a day to day basis but once "we" know where to send things, it will be a lot easier!!!!!

ok so i am hearing alot of moms saying the kids are asking to send personal items (deodorant etc) since they have donated it to japan -- so how can we get a packing party going in the area ?  we need to help out our kids here. I will try to get a hold of the local amvet or eagles and see if they will help. I am new to this so any suggestions will definately help

LInda When do you want to do it, I Always have a group...WE also have been asked by a "Certain" ship to get some letters going, "JAPAN" that's all I can say at this time....
