And you know Jodi, Justin NOT being on a ship is a WHOLE different deal!!!!
From what I know..ground troops..have easy access to phone then guys on ships....something else to think about!!!!!!! I have a lot of friends who's kids are in the Marines and Army...They require NO calling cards..more to think about ♥

Jody, I would first check with Justins cellphone company and see how much the international plan is. For Shawn it was FREE, because of military...then any phone call made internationally would be .99 a minute!!!!
Jody, Check the calling cards!.....Justin will find out what works best for where he is going,!!! Shawn had told me DO NOT buy him phone cards, he could get them a whole lot cheaper in South America...than I ever could!!!! So things to think about....Shawn does NOT use his cellphone...only in case of emergancy!!!♥ hope that helps!

Navymommike, welcome welcome welcome. I know how anxious you must be. are you able to go to his PIR? I hope you can...most awesome event you'll see in a lifetime! these moms were all of great help to me when my son was in BC in 2008. we're all here for you.

Shirley-dumb question....(I have my duh moments more and more with going to school)...you recommended calling cards while Justin gets deployed. if it was $3.99 per minute for his cell phone wouldn't it be nearly the same charge using a calling card? I really have no idea how that works. and he will be in the middle east-don't know if that makes a difference.

so glad to hear that not everybody's sons are all talkative. if Justin has something to say it's important. he's not much for small talk at all.
Comment by Jody Gault on April 6, 2010 at 3:00pm
yep, like I said all Greek to me. Justin doesn't really talk too much about stuff other than he loves it. he's not a talker sort of a guy with us...unless he's talking about Green Bay Packers.

NOT rank..RATE, his job, silly!!!!
Comment by Jody Gault on April 6, 2010 at 12:54pm
I'm not sure what is rate is. he's been moved up once or twice-it's all Greek to me. also, Justin, isn't a talker about that kind of stuff (prob because he's not allowed to be would be my guess due to his security clearance as an IT).
