Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Donna, the pillowcase project is the group called 'Heads at ease pillowcase project' so find that and go there to join. The 'pillowcase lady' (she's the one that started it), name is Sue Lamberson. I will send you her email addy (although she sends out bulk emails and I'm sure she wouldn't mind me putting it here).

Lynne, welcome. Donna, there is a group that makes pillow cases, not just for sailors, but for all military. I gave $ to them once so I am on their email list. I could give you the info if you wish, just let me know-they do wonderful things.

Yes, jsrmom, Terry's son is on that ship along with quite a group from N4Ms..MOllys son is on there also..
MAS crew is currently working on a card/letter writing campaign for the ship. so if anyone would like to write a letter to a sailor that is supplying relief for Haiti, stay tuned to MAS-Mollys Adopt a Sailor ♥
Donna...VFA-37?? what is that...My next door neighbors son just got orders for the Truman, he is a Mass Communications Specialist!, Take photos for the Navy! We also have "Dusty" in our group here who is an Ombudsman for the Truman, ( a helo squadron attached to the Truman) good luck to her ♥

Part of Justin's division in Whidby Island, WA is going to Haiti for a week and a half. He has not been ordered to go (he's an IT). Yes, God bless them all. My daughter has a friend that is from Haiti that still has family there and her sister just went there a week ago to visit. We've not heard from the friend if her family is okay.

Spoke with Jen last nite and Terry has just come out of surgery and well..it went..they found that is spread to her chest cavity and the quest begins for her..Radition etc...She does have her mom and I believe 2 sons here with her in Florida...Her Sailor son just today...on a 3 month deployment. the ship..The Carl Vinson is suppose to be making a stop in Mayport and Jen and I dicussed going for a visit...Molly's son is also on The vinson and I promised Molly I would go and "take care of her son"..since she takes such good care of everyone's elses..whew,,long winded..
As for Jen..Jen knows I am here and will be here WHEN EVER she needs....love ya Jen!♥


As for the "get together"....I would like UNO's again, since they have contnued to collect for MAS...I spoke with terry and he has insured if we want to come again he will supply a LARGER area for us....♥
