OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Kristy, there is always a meet n greet the night before at Flanagan's restaurant near the base....gogogo-it's a great time to meet some families and form new friendships. I, personally and highly recommend that you stay at the Navy Lodge. I had reservations elsewhere until I met some of the moms here and they also highly recommended it. It's very inexpensive, very close and it's all Navy families there for the same reason as yourself. I'll get you the number if you'd like.

Kristy, welcome. the ladies here are amongst the best support that you can get. if you've not done it join your sons PIR group too. I, too, am unemployed since October (2nd time within about 1 years time) so I decided to go to school while on Unemployment. I started the Stenotype Institute on Monday. I wish you the best there and let us know how we can help you.
