Candy, so glad to hear I'm not a cry baby freak-lol. Reading all you said brought me back to PIR when we and our girls went and were standing with Justin while so many sailors had absolutely no one there for them at all. Plus every time I said a sailor/soldier out somewhere I often wonder if they're there all alone and away from their families.

Well now for the good news...as mentioned earlier Justin flys standby because the airplane ticket is free. He got to Charlotte at noon today with a 3 hour layover before the connecting flight left. Well he didn't get to be on that connecting flight-they were asking for volunteers to give up their seats. We were all getting so worried wondering what would happen to him because he said he wasn't counted as AWOL until 7am tomorrow. God was there for him because he did make it on the 6:10pm flight this evening! Go figure because that flight was oversold and the earlier one wasn't. Just glad he's on his way back to SEA.

Hoping all are enjoying their sailors and family.

We just took Justin to the airport. He flys standby because of my flying benes. He'll get on fine from here to Charlotte but need all the prayers we can muster for his Charlotte to Seattle flight. He's due back on base by 7am tomorrow. WOW is it hard to say goodbye. It actually hurts me because I have to try to fight holding it back so badly. I'm the worst of the bunch: my husband and daughters maintain and Justin just stays quiet. I feel like a piece of my heart is being cut away every time I have to tell him goodbye. But I guess that's how my own parents feel everytime we say goodbye as we only see them once a year. Hoping I get better at this. Do you all react that same way or am I the only big baby in the group?

Was a wonderful full Christmas this year. But, alas, my momma tears are a starting to poke thru with only 2 more days left until Justin leaves. These goodbyes are just so hard-does it ever get any better? My and my neighbors twisted sense of humor can be seen on my facebook page. If you're not a friend and would like to see them just friend me under 'Jody Mitchell Gault'. We've been watching movies tonight thanks to Redbox. I'm so very glad we rented 'Santa Buddies' about the little retriever puppies. It was such a wonderful movie to watch on this night. Enjoy of what is left of this wonderful day with your loved ones.
