Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

isn't this great that thank yous are coming in from the Crommelin!! All that hard work...and they have time to write, I think it is awesome..
Lynne if you don't mind I am gonna grab your Thank yous and post them in Mollys Adopt a SAilor, they have a discussion for Cards and Letters and such!
Well lynn...I am gonna grab so...if you did mind..sorry..LOL

We need to have another packing party...I say end of Oct! what do you ladies think!!! We can start gathering "holiday Cards" and other items and maybe do 2 mailings one for Oct and One for the Holiday Adopted Sailors and also we can do Our pic for the website at that time...Anybody in!!!!!

Jsrmom-I'd say go ahead and get the cards made and make it recurring. We can always use them to put them in the boxes we send off every month. Knowing that there are some sailors that are parents these preschool cards will probably be pretty special to them. Can never have too much of anything really.

Fantastic Lynne. Loved that! I haven't yet written a thank you note to the preschool that made those cute little hand made cards for the sailors. Now I have something to put in the thank you note that is from them as well. The preschool said they'll do it again around Christmas.

Laura, I contacted our recruiter when my son left for bootcamp and he was able to get his address for me about 3 days after he left.

Hello ladies,
Welcome our newest Bootcamp mom....whoohoo..so happy us "seasoned" moms can hold your hand through this..LOL..
OK girls...the picture does NOT need to be football themed!!!! football is the theme for Mollys Adopt a Sailor this month..
The picture is for a video that is going on the Mollys adopt a sailor website....
We just need to get as many peps as possible...And have signs.....saying we love our troops here in FLORIDA..
Does anyone have a suggestion...Do you want to make a packing party in Oct and do it then...we have a little bit of time before the deadline...
My brain has been just a tad bit fried lately....so ideas are NOT popping out!
but I DO know that the sailors we adopt for the "holiday" season will be LARGE group and it will be very special so I want to make sure we meet-greet-take picure-and packing it all up!!!!! thats what I know...LOL

Mary, you had a table that wouldn't pose....were they Americans (I sure hope not!). I can't imagine anybody refusing that, anybody-even those that hate getting their picture taken.

OK...the football game thingy is the "theme" for this months adopt a sailor, the picture thingy if for the Mollys adopt a sailor website...We want to get something from every state a photo of people holding up signs-saying where???we are from..and that we support our troops etc....
I haven't gotten any word back from ANYONE but Mary and Lynn in Plant city...whaassssssssssssssssssup with this..

Looking for ideas, Mollys Adopt a sailor is making a video using pictures from ALL states....So I thought, what the heck we are rowdy bunch lets get together and make an awesome pic for the website-video, come on girls...what is going on!!!
