OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Whoohoo...Mary...
Ok moms....Mary has check it out..PUBLIX will do donations and YOU DO NOT need to go to the regional office. So Girls, hit your local publix...Ask the manager if you may place a box for our Sailors. You may go just above and print out the "Sailor Supply List" so that everyone knows what our troops are looking for!
So grab a box or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5, you get the idea and HIT those PUBLIXs up....
22nd, the bunker...It is in East Orlando, kinda behind UCF, SCC etc...
Will have more info. Monday, since I am going out there Sat. nite to Karoke with Mary, PLEASE no videotape...LOL..

Diane, I think I may have seen you today (if it wasn't you, you have a twin). Were you on Gatlin Rd in Orlando driving a big suv type car? I only caught a glimpse while I drove by but could swear it was you.

thxs Jody...Info below.....

CMDCS(SW) Matthew Danforth
USS CROMMELIN (FFG 37)
FPO AP 96662-1492

***There are a couple of changes on how we are mailing our packages and cards this month.

~We are not to write “any sailor” under CMDCS(SW) Matthew Danforth .
But, if it is a female package, write ”FEMALE” under his name.

~We now have Molly’s Adopt a Sailor shipping labels.
We want to have an official label on all packages and envelopes. That way when our mail
is delivered to our contacts they will know that it is from us.
You can get your labels at this link ~ SHIPPING LABELS

MAHALO!!! (thank you!!!)

Diane, my sister in law said that would be a great idea and she'd love to do it with her class. They are special ed 3rd graders but she said they could make cards for them. In turn this could be very rewarding to them. I think they start school a week earlier so I'll ask her if she could get them mailed by the deadline and just have her mail them directly putting a note in there that she was referred by the Central Fla Navy moms. To what address does she send? (Is that somewhere on here)

PS, Terry, I used that link when my son was deployed its GREAT and user friendly...you can only send 1 phone card every 30 days......So the guys on the ship could bascially go online and send one to themselves....
that reminds me...I need to ask him if, my son, ever got those phone cards!!!

WOW moms things are JUMPING...
minds are are awake....whoohoo
Ok...Schools are great..-Jody you are right, they don't go back until the 24th, but............yes there is a but...........our last mailing day for this project is Sept. 4th!!!
So if anyone has any "kiddys" in school and have a "good" relationship with Teachers-principals etc..feel free. As far as mailing those cards...They could mail them indiviually or box em up...Get the small Flat rate box and put them all in one!!!!
Moms have realize that, as you can read below, you can fit 9 small boxes in 1 large ....so many are doing that...
I am gonna meet up with Mary at the Bunker on Sat....MARY..I just need to know what time...And Mary and I and etc....will hopefull work something out for the 22nd, so PLEASE check back in and see..In the meantime...keep tapping all those resources and making new ones!
