FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Mary,,,,I would LOVE to use the bunker and I KNOW The other moms here would LOVE it too...
but lets wait till it cools down a tad..deal?
my calendar is marked....

OH ladies...
We ended up with 15 boxes....once I got home...I still had some other stuff....
So very cool..
The trip to the POst office, well, was a trip...
took 4 the first day
then 11 the next...
next get together we MUST remember to fill out the custom forms and address at least some of the boxes.....Yes, my hand was cramped..ThankGod for my daugther, she helped!
We Rocked this month!

Mary, I would LOVE to have our get together at the bunker, hope you know that...lets wait for cooler weather.....I think....early Nov. should be good for that and then months after that...good idea???
Aug. 8, I have plans..but 2 weeks after that I will "try" to be there. I am marking my calendar NOW!

Mary question about the bunker...
Do we need to be outside for our gathering...
I do know they have an inside building....
But I would love to utiliize the outdoors but I don't want it to be TOO hot...
Mollys adopt a sailor project has a big undertaken , not annouce yet...but WE NEED to meet by end of August or EARLY Sept..details to come....

Mary sorry about Sat...I didn't get home to after 5, had errands to do...And then feel asleep...and next thing I knew it was 9 pm

but you said every Sat, right???
Cause like I said I am around the corner!
Dusty....Jackson ville is the closest USO, correct.???? Do you have any info on one here in Orlando....I would love to contact them

Diane, thanks for all you do! Yes, I think Einsteins was a great place for us to meet-like I told you they had plenty of space for us-right? Plus, hey, we got free bagels upon leaving-can't beat that! I'm all for that becoming our regular meeting place unless we want to treat ourselves to something really nice sometime. I don't think any of us really go for the food anyways-we go for our sailors and the great company that we keep.

Eiensteins was really supportive of us...I would like to go back there again!!!!!!
My car's backseat is FULL of boxes...I am gonna go to the post office with like 3 boxes at a time..
I have to fill out Custom forms and address all those boxes OH and make about 3 more...Geez ladies....I am not gonna get any "work" done this week!
Awesome time was had by all!

ok ladies whoever had their camera, please post pics..ASAP.....I want to share them with all our Adopt a Sailor moms and show them how WE ROCK.....
had a blast today and a total of 14 very filled with love boxes are head to our military.....whooohoo...we are awesome.
