Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

OK girls, really busy here...I have NO idea where in the world Mimi's is...so i will google it...and am hoping for some help from Janet, since she seems to be familiar with the place....
I will put the event up but please anyone with any info on Mimi's please post.

Really, Diane? Everybody I've talked to though has said WA is beautiful. Are our sons going to be at the same base, do you know, or are there several out there. Justin is going to be about 30 miles from SEA he said. Anyways, as far as beautiful goes I'd still rather that he'd been in the HA beautiful than the WA beautiful (especially since his 2nd cousin could've seen him often since her ship docs at Pearl Harbor). Oh well-it is what it is.

Jodi, good luck to your Sailor in WA, just came back....absoulety beautiful place to live...shhh..don't tell anyone, but puts Orlando to shame, really.....BEAUTIFUL...he is VERY lucky!!

Wow what a picture, Diane. I thought everybody was liking Mimi's Cafe from our discussion before. I've never been there but sounds yummy to me. I may, however, not be able to come on the 16th as Justin either leaves here May 15th or May 16th to drive out to WA. If he's already gone (which, of course I hope he's not) I will come. If not, please enjoy yourselves (as I know you will) without me.
