Oh Ruth...that's funny. Can he hang out with other instructors? He should start to look for groups or a church in his area. I know there are lots of things to do in the city where he could meet people. He needs to just get out and find ways to do things he enjoys on his free time and I betcha he starts to find people he wants to hang out with. I have found that to very true at the USO...I have met several people I correspond with now outside of the USO.

I have a favor to ask that will just mortify my son! He's stationed at Great Lakes as an instructor and can't fraternize with the troops, so he needs to meet some young people just to go out to dinner with once in awhile or go to a movie. Any of you think of a solution, let me know. He lives in Zion.

Paula, thoughts and prayers from this Navy mom. What a wonderful tribute to your dad to donate to Honor Flight.

Paula you and Holly and the rest of your family have been in my prayers all week.I can only imagine how hard the whole situation was, is and will be and will continue to keep you all in my prayers for some time to come. I am going to say a few prayers for those stubborn stones, too.

So much activity(in my life and on this group)...I will catch up on posts on Sunday. Count me on the Nov 20th party I will bring some red wine. Oct 23 I have a previous engagement so hopefully next time.

Paula, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost both my parents within 13 months of one another and miss them terribly, though the funny and happy memories of them do make me feel better.

Paula my thoughts are with you. It is so great that he is your hero and always will. It is because of your strength that he had a peaceful passing to heaven. Take care

JulieR, yes we are going to do the Christmas Cards so when ever you get a chance I will take the address so I can mail them. I should have a little over 300, I hope that is good enough.
