Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Pat L. in IL on August 25, 2010 at 9:49am: MissMySailor, Every month we adopt a group at "Molly's Adopt A Sailor". Usually they give us a wish list of things they can use. So we get a bunch of moms together and pack boxes to be sent to the group. We have a contact person in the group that distributes the 'goodies' to everyone in the group. The 'packing party' is a chance to get together, meet, have fun, and send things to the troops. We would love to have you join us. Pat

My son had been on land since he joined and I liked that, I just hope since he is putting in for a ship he likes it. NO BEER! How is he going to make it. LOL He is so use to his freedom to go see amazing places. Maybe if you are on a ship first and then land that would work better. Well I guess he will be just fine, you know us moms we worry too much.

I am going to help my son come home this Christmas if he can. Airfare will be around $1,400 if not more. Maybe we should take up a collection for me. LOL Only kidding, I know there are sailors that really need help.
