Lewismom, that is wonderful he is going to love that job. Well at lease it is getting warmer here and not just starting winter. LOL Have you heard from him.

Hey Annie, Wii, you are having fun. We missed you, I really wanted to meet your son. Maybe next time! We haven't picked a date for next time, not yet!

I have news! Lewis is definately going to be a corpsman! He will be stationed at Great Lakes for the next (we think) 6-12 months! Yeah! I don't have to say goodbye for a little while longer! Less than 4 more days till PIR!

Thanks everyone...5 days to go! I am going to hold off on jumping into the Marine stuff until July or so since he leaves August 2. I can only handle one service at time. :) I will keep you all posted and take lots of pictures at PIR.

Collette I have a friend whos son is graduating in SD from Marine BC in a week and a half. I thingkthere is a Marine group too if you want I can get the info from her. They post a video on line of the kids. I think thta is so nice for the parentas that can't be there. Navy should do that too!

Collette that is so much fun isn't it. I do remember getting the information about PIR and it did say if you have to fly or book a room make sure you can get your money back. Stephen told me he passed even before battlestation, and he did and now look where he is, keep up updated.

Paula,
That may be my reality with my other son when we go to his marine PIR in San Diego. And my other son has a habit of making us wait & wonder...we did not know if he would graduate from high school till the his last day of school so I just have a feeling....so far the first DIV in Lewi's group has made it through battlestations and all passed. It's pretty cool to watch the families post...I can't wait for a call or next Friday!

I think many people out of town face the same thing... parents in my son's div were already on the way and didn't get a call. I talked to a few parents from other divisons who came from out of town, they just came without a call. I didn't sleep all night was on the N4M's site waiting for someone anyone to say they got a call.. Collette your right it all worked out.
