Paula, he has been told it isn't much better. At this point he doesn't care he just wants to see something different. I told him when he gets back he will have a new found love for Lemoore. LOL I have been there this past summer and I can see why he needs the change of senery. If I remember right you have been there and know what I'm talking about. :)

Thank you all for the welcomes. This is the first Valentines Day I can't pick up the phone and call my son...so I am adjusting. As of right now he is headed to SC after bootcamp. I look forward to meeting you all at your next get together. BTW my photo is of the Chicago Bulls game where his platoon was being officially sworn in and became the officially sponsored 2010 Chicago Bulls platoon. Supposedly they will even have Bulls players show up to cheer them on during boot camp.

Lewismom, welcome! I know how you feel we are here for you. My son has been in since Novemeber 18, 2009, so it has just been a year. He is an ITSA and it in Naples, Italy. Paula is right it does get better, just write letters and wait for his phone calls he will love it, really. Where will he go after bc, stay in Great Lakes or go to P-Cola?

I don't mind the weekends, maybe that is better for everyone!
