FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

OH heck I need to call you then!!! How long was she there?? I have a question
one of the Lemoore moms left a post her son had 2 shots yesterday and is deathly ill, he didn't know what the shots were for. Have any ideas?? Hes
not sure if he's sick from the shots or just the flu. Mine has been there since
March. i am concerned for the valley fever I have heard so much about in Lemoore!!

Deb this is a weird question I know but do you have a Navy sticker and 3 college
stickers on you car?? I drive to work and see a woman with that on her car and you live close to me so I thought that might be you??

AMEN Mary!! Lemoore is in the San Joaqiun valley. Hot during the day and cold at night,guess thats how the dessert is. I will let you know when I get back will be going there in 24 days to see my son for his bithday!! :) I'm counting down now!! I'm counting my blessings right now that he is in Lemmore right now and the only thing I have to worry about is him contracting the valley fever. Common
illness there from the dessert. It can be deadly if not taken care of quickly. Paula have you been to Lemoore??

Wow alot sure has been going on!! Dianne congrats to you sailor and to yours to Paula!! Deb the Reagan just left for deployment right?? My son is in Lemoore and some sailors just left from there to the Reagan deployment. Laura remind me again what ship he's on and where is he headed?? Nancy Jean this has to be a really hard time for you. Will you get to see him before he goes and do you know how long he will be gone for?? Prayers for all to return home safely!!!

My sailor is finishing "A school" at Goose Creek in the next week or two. She is excited about being a petty officer.

The air show in Davenport is June 20-21 right off of I-80. The Navy's Blue Angels will be there.

DId anyone see the Marine helicopter that was in the area on Friday??? It landed at the High school across from where I work for the ROTC kids to check
out. It took everything I had not to run over there and say my son is in the Navy!!!
I wish I could have seen it up close! Hey Ruth when is the air show in the quad cities??
