Hello ladies and all the new moms! After a month or so hiatus I am back!

Welcome new moms, my son's girlfriend and I cried our way through boot camp and often camped out at the mail box. LOL  Actually I went to the post office almost every day to mail him a letter after I got his address and not just any post office - the main post office in downtown Chicago.   A year and half later I laugh at the emotional mess we were during bootcap.  But at the time...it was really really hard not to have any contact with my son.  This group helped me make it through.

Sorry I missed the Novemeber get together - I think Michelle let you all know I was moving that weekend.  I am now a Palatine resident.  Congrats Pat on the Molly's recognition at the Thanksgiving dinner.

Sally I am sorry about your mom and Paula...oh Paula...prayers, prayers, prayers...and please vent away if it helps you make through.  I am headed to Rome this December and will bring my prayers for you straight to the top.  If you go to my Facebook page and watch the video on it and you will understand.

Michelle - I need cliff notes to catch up quickly!

Ruth, Oh yes, I met your son!!!! It was hectic and I tried to find him again later but no luck. Such an amazing day!!

My son was at Villa Park!  He's not a recruit, but I told him he had to go so he wouldn't be alone.  The last I heard, he hadn't met Pat or Lauren, but he was supposed to find them.  For someone who takes and gives orders, he still doesn't do everything I tell him to do!  He got there about 8:30 and left around 3, I think.  Must have been fun for him.

Mary--I'm so happy you shared the recruits for us who could not.  What call letters is station 7?  we get two Chicago stations about 9 pm here in St. Louis area.

Hi Olivia, What is an SR? I live in the west burbs Hinsdale, Earls mom where do you live?

To those who are going to the VFW tomorrow thank you I hope by next year I can be there. Remember to charge your cell phones! Was that Christmass or Thanksgiving that you did last year and passed your cell phones around for all the sailors to call home?

I am still having health problems and I am quite aggrevated at this point. My upper right lung is so scared from radiation, I thought I went to the best most highly rated safe place for radiation but someone over did it!!! my lymph node right next to my heart and I think esophugus is inflammed. My right lower lung has two .3mm nodules we are watching them to see if the grow and my right lower lung is looks all foggy and they don't know what it is after 3 CT scans. Every time I go off antibiotics by day 4 I start with a fever and congestion which scares me immunity wise. I see my oncologist 12/5 and have a CT and see the pulmonologist 12/6. I feel MAD that I went to RUSH because they told me they had the best newest type of radiation measured just right for breast cancer to prevent any scaring and I end up like this. So thank you it was good to vent! I don't cry or vent at home because I don't want my daughter or husband to know how scared I am. Hubby did take the day off to come with on the 6th. I think I am a bit frazzled too because my childrens father just died 2 months ago from a virus that went to his heart. I don't want my kids to be without a parent, I want to see it all, weddings, grandkids family gatherings I want to live a long time. I try hard to be a good person so God will look out for me so why is this happening again to me???

I better go starting to cry and don't want this to become a book, Paula 2
