For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I am leaving for Florida March 20th to help my Dad he is moving, so I have to pack him, move him and get the house ready for sell, I will be back April 7th so maybe we can make plans to get together then. Comment by MissMySailor on February 9, 2013 at 2:50pm: Hi everyone, Sorry I have been MIA but I had a rough time with my Neuropathic Pain since winter began. Every time the barometric pressure goes up and down my head wants to explode and that is a lot lately. I always want to meet you guys and when you meet during the day I will try harder but with the type of pain I have from 5pm on it gets worse so there it is. I do read all your posts though!

Anyway, my son is doing so great he got to BM2 and he is on the (VBSS) Search and seizure team at his 3 yr mark and just got his ESWS pin a few days ago. He has been on deployment since last June but it has gone fast with all the pictures I get and see on Navy.mil it has been better than I thought with him away.

Sorry I missed the last get together. :( My son is now stationed at Camp Pendleton with the Marines. He does not report for duty for a few more days. For Christmas I got a text from my daughter-in-law with a picture of him and his first surf board and wet suit. And I gave myself a awesome present for Xmas...I shipped my son all the remaining items he left at my house when he joined the Navy.
