Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Good Morning my new friends!!!! Iv'e been a member here for a while but just haven't jumped in but now I'm ready....I am a Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Rush Lumbaugh, Sarah Palin,etc.women...huge political junkie and intend to spend as much time as possible working for my party...to make sure I make a difference in next years election!!!!! I will fill you in on my navy person in the near future...just wanted to pop in for a quick hello...Is it ok to post political videos here( of course, bashing the other party and current administration)..I put one on another site and got in very hot water!!!!! looking forward to chatting and learning more as I go along!!!!! E.

DonnaX2 sailor gals - You had asked about thoughts on the oil spill. I was talking to my uncle the other day - he owns (privately) a BP station. We were wondering how he was doing because people are boycotting BP but this is hurting stations that are owned privately. He made an interesting observation that I have never heard on the news but wish would be brought up. These oil rigs have to drill so far out. He said that if they were to have been allowed to drill closer to shore - which is what they wanted to do - the spill could have been contained. The main problem they are having is because of the depth of the leak. I wonder how many people realize that allowing this drilling to be done in closer would actually solve some of these problems?
