Rose4256, we had the same "flag" feeling about the number, too! Finallly, we decided to list our toll free number that isn't connected to our house. :-)

Mary, Proud Mom of Nick, I love the idea of "Other," and "American!" However, we decided not to do that as we want to pick our fights on other issues we are more concerned and passionate about; and I didn't want a census worker coming to my door either... :-)

Sean had suggested for race, mark ...other and write American.

We received the short form this year -- have not decided how many people live in my house yet.

The census form that came to our house only asked for our names, number of people in the house, and what race we are. In fact, the majority of the questions were about race...weird. There were "types" of hispanics, and "types" of Asians, but not a single word about the "types" of Arabs...I thought it was very, very telling...

sorry to change the topic, but I saw on the mil.com news where a CO of a sub was fired for appearing drunk at an ROTC function. Hawaii based USS Chicago was the sub I believe. You don't think he's Irish do you???? LOL

Rioting in Greece...due to layoffs, budget cuts and higher taxes.
Is this administration listening?!

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer on Tuesday denied assertions by former Rep. Eric Massa that he was pushed out of office because he voted no on health care.

"That’s absurd. Absolutely untrue," Hoyer said. "Definitively untrue."

Massa on Monday resigned his seat in the House after a male staffer accused him of sexual harassment. The former New York Democrat in turn alleged that Democratic leaders conspired to force him out of office so they would have an easier time approving the health care reform bill.

Maybe they are starting to see the light.Kind of like Morgenthau, (FDR's treasury sec.), who in 1939 admitted to the Ways and Means Committee that all the spending didn't work, that after 8 years there was just as much unemployment and an enormous debt to boot!! Maybe it won't take this bunch 8 years to figure that out. Where are the jobs BO promised? And the debt? Can you even imagine what a trillion dollars (one million times one million) is? let alone the unfathomable 15 to 16 trillion BO's administration is trying to hang around our necks!!! Tell me we will ever get out from under that avalanche of spending if it is allowed to come to pass. No one in their right mind could possibly think that kind of spending could 'fix' anything. Are we living in the Land of the Loonies? And to read Donna's forward about the antics of Rahm Emmanuel trying to strongarm this junk. In the nude, no less! LOL!

Loved the mall pics. How true. We lived in a bigger city before moving down to the boondocks. Earth Day always made me sick there. There would be tons of litter after it was over--leaflets, empty cups, cans, plates, you name it. The kids thought it was pretty hypocritical. Do you think the maniacs now in congress will give a rip about violating anyone's religious convictions? Wilson, after all, considered himself a Christian. Makes me sick just thinking about it. He opened Pandora's box with his progressivism.

Mary, that drunken sailors is funny. I was wondering when Rangel and others do what they do - do you think they've isolated themselves so much from real everyday people so much that they forget what it is like to have character and compassion - common courtesy for the ordinary person and look out for us? After all, its not THEIR money! for heaven's sake!!! Its either a lapse of memory or they just don't give a darn. You should always treat others like you'd want to be treated, and that goes for our money. Treat it like its your own, not like you've won the lottery and can go willy nilly with it.
