I just sent a card to our troops. Go to the link below and you can send a card too. Xerox is mailing them. You pick the card you want to send and they mail them! It doesn't get any better than that!!

My heart goes out to the families of the 9/11 victims. I cannot even imagine how they must feel.

Mama, I believe thats because there is a prevailing attitude among the Bushs' that "you gotta stand for something, or you'll fall for anything. (Aaron Tippen)

Yes, I don't like double standards either, but maybe he doesn't recognize the correlation.

There are a lot of big changes and big numbers hidden in the legal terminology of the text on the health bill, here's a few.
$1.055 trillion - New federal spending on expanded health insurance coverage

43 - Entitlement programs the bill creates, expands, or extends - an increase from H.R. 3200

111 - Additional offices, bureaus, commissions, programs, and bureaucracies the bill creates

$729.5 billion - Total new taxes on employers and individuals who cannot afford health coverage
JUST a few.

Maggie, today is the commissioning of the USS NY - "Never Forget" is its banner.
They are showing it on Fox news as we speak, hopefully the USS NY will keep the sentiment alive that we will NEVER forget. News is coming forth more and more about Hasan. Everyone reported to someone about his oddities and unacceptable behavior with the poor PTSD veterans who deserved better than his proseletizing we shouldn't be fighting overseas and taking up for the radical Muslims. However, because society has created this political correctiveness, I speculate they must have been afraid to make him an example. Thus the result.

Mary, I did not see that? In NY? Praising him for what he did? I just saw Greta's story on the hostages last night they held for 444 days during Jimmy Carter's reign. I was unaware Ahmadinejad was one of the original five hostage takers. Did you all know that?

Mary, you've probably been reading my reports on Brazilian Petrobras for over a year now. It never has been a secret, but we seem to be lackadaisy in drilling, finding alternative means, etc. On another note:

Congresswoman Kay Granger writes:
Dear Friends,

Today I stood with thousands of Americans from across this country in opposition to the Pelosi health care bill. Thank you to everyone who made the trip. Today was democracy at its finest. People came because they don't want the government running their health care. People came because they are calling us to action. People came because they are sick and tired of Washington not listening to them. Today everyone's voice was heard.

Katynorth - in regards to your request for clarification about my earlier post, it was just a gentle reminder. I posted it in more than one location in the community.

so glad you shared this, now I can share it on FB with my so called circle of (ahem) friends. I am always surprised and disappointed with people who act like they are still in HSchool. Or they want you to not discuss super important issues that directly concern us, our children, and our country and its future - so you can observe "table manners" Pick your battles I say, I try to let most of them go - but I won't step down concerning keeping God in our schools and on our coins, and observing our constitutional rights as brought to fruition by our forefathers. If you notice, you can slowly and slowly (and pull the wool over some peoples eyes) by taking away our freedoms ever so slightly - one at a time, until we say, 'Hey, HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?" I will tell you, TOO MUCH goverment control. Less goverment intervention in ALL aspects. I wish school would teach quotes from Ronald Reagan. Its up to parents to teach them values. Boy and Girl Scouts are great organizations. I was a Camp Fire Girl! Anyone here a CFG? LOL!
