Mama, my husband only watches Fox for the few hours he is home.  I occasionally turn on the "others" to see what crap they are trying to put out. Thats the only way for me to debate intelligently - to keep up with the misinformation.  I rely on Katy a lot also!   :-)

Ma Mary, it never occurred to me the mixed up seating might be a way to disguise the showing of Republicans being the majority.  Good point.

I didn't pay any attention to politics until 1999.  I'm a computer programmer and there were a lot of foreign workers in the field for Y2K.  I noticed that the Americans were losing their jobs and the foreign workers remained.  So I got involved fighting H-1B visas.  That expanded into fighting illegal immigration.

I watch ABC, NBC and FOX plus talk radio -- so I hear both opinions.  We cut out cable, so I don't get Beck or Hannity anymore, so listen to them on the radio.

ABC news in Minneapolis didn't show the video, but did say that the video showed that Judge John Roll was shot because he was trying to save someone else and shielded that person when he was shot.

hi, I just found this group.  my son is a nuke and has just started Power School.

yes, I listen to Glenn Beck but I'm not convinced we need food insurance -- at least not yet.  With the change in Speaker of the House, I'm feeling more confident for 2011 and 2012.  now we have to work on getting P-BO out.

Thanks for your welcome...he thought it was particularly appropriate to be listening to GWB as he was traversing TX, enroute to ocs in RI.  Happy New Year!

Hi from a brand-new NM here...just joined NFM yesterday.  Our son left 2 days ago for Rhode Island.  At the moment, he reported he's enjoying listening to GWB's Decision Points while he is driving across Texas!  He, too, is a good Republican.  :)

Katynorth, I read about 6 months ago that some of the more expensive cancer drugs were not covered/provided in Canada. There were statistics posted for survival rates for stage IV colon cancer in the US and Canada. US survival rates were better due to the use of Avastin which was not covered in Canada. I'm not certain which breast cancer drug the FDA is speaking of...Avandia is oral hypoglycemic for diabetics.

Thanks for posting Deb. I watched that when I got home from work. I enjoyed seeing him so relaxed and humorous. I miss him so much.
and so does the majority.
