Have to share this, my friend Natalie has what she calls her annual "Thank God It's Over" luncheon tomorrow. She holds it on December 26th every year and it's for the girls only. She has wonderful food and her husband grills steaks as well and she makes the best home made sangria in the world! She has no idea how happy I will be to make it tomorrow! Forget the after holiday sales, I'm going for sangria and girl talk! :0)

Merry Christmas Y'all! I hope the day was wonderful for everyone, got calls from each of my far-away cubs, they seemed to be doing Christmas without mom pretty well! Had dolphins in the river today, always puts a smile on my face! We got a new computer! Not up and running yet as I have no idea where I'll put it yet but the cable/internet people are coming on Sunday to set me up! Yay! This laptop is a dinosaur!
Ruth - you and yours are in my prayers, what a sad way to spend the holiday.
Newies - welcome! :0)

I’m so grateful to be a part of this group! Your strength and faith, love and fun mean so much to me. As a single mom (since he was 6) who raised an only child, this Christmas is the first I’m spending without him home, and all of a sudden it’s hitting me a bit harder than I expected. Yet my situation is insignificant knowing what others face, and you all give me the backbone I need to stop the sniffles I’m fighting like crazy. Yesterday a ‘Norfolk Sailors Family and Friends’ group member offered Christmas dinner at her home for sailors away from home, and that’s where my son is going tomorrow, thanks to this wonderful mom Shannon. Thanks to all of you for making me feel so welcome, bless our sailors and bless you gals for your love and your wackiness too! Now on to the rum pudding, washed down with a nice Merlot ;) Merry Christmas!
