Had to laugh about the exploding sea bag comment a little while back - my oldest didn't even bother to pack a bag, he showed up at the house with his clothes in a laundry basket! Mind you, they were clean clothes but it just cracked me up to see him carry it in!

Carol - yeah, sometimes they surprise me! LOL I always worry what they are up to when they are too sweet, I guess some things never change! Devin leaves home on the 13th , I know what you mean about not thinking about it, I'm trying hard not to as well!

Thanks for sharing Carol! You did us proud!
Having a good time with your man-cub home? I have my oldest home now too, can not wait to get out of this office and home to cook for my boys tonight! They came by the office a little while ago and brought me a chai tea, told me they were thinking about going and getting matching ink today - sure hope they were just teasing me!

Hi All! Hope all are well! Been busy trying to finish up the bathroom remodel and stealing some time with my man-cub! Got word that he will be flying out of VA on the 15th to Naples. Time is moving too quickly! Eldest son arrived at 0430 today! Should be a hectic fun filled weekend with my cubs home. Still trying to view previous posts, no luck - what am I doing wrong? Hugs to all!

ruth, thank you for sharing this sad news with us, it's heartbreaking for any parent to lose a child, any child, any reason. I hope those two sailors recover, and I am sending heartfelt sympathy and condolences to a fellow Texas mom on the loss of her son.

Hi All - still not able to read "previous" pages - this set up sucks. Hope Thanksgiving was wonderful for all! Ours was nice except that wound up in ER with the hubs on Friday, won't get into the gory details but he will be having surgery tomorrow in the butt region (EEEWWWW). Have had him doped up on pain killers and antibiotics until the surgeon can get him in. Word to the wise, don't get ill on a holiday!
Uli - you're in my prayers, sounds like you need a good burst of sunshine in your world.
Time is flying by, less than 2 weeks left with my man-cub at home, slow down December, slow down! This mom not quite ready for that trip to the airport.

I am GrandmaK ....pronounced Grandma Kay. the other one is "Grandma Linda"....and my son's dad, my ex, was known for years as the 'good Grandpa" because he played on the floor, in the pool and gave rides in the wheelbarrow.....I always felt bad for 'grandpa gary" ...not being the 'good grandpa'....so remember that Grandma June, rides in the wheelbarrow...and roll on the floor!

June, Andrew looks pretty happy! How much does he weigh, height? tell all? where?

We call those "suck cheeks"...strong urge to eat, that boy will wear his mother out!

I had no idea my hair was so red until at work, I heard someone say "ask the red headed lady" and it was me. I use a 'cover the gray' henna...which is okay at first, but hot water makes the red come out if you have that tendency and I guess I do. I'm going to be one of those old women with flaming red hair and wrinkles, maybe I should do my eyebrows black....

Thanksgiving with my son home was wondeful! First time in 5 years for us to be there with him! Grandkids were at their dad's but both my children and my Army vet son in law at the table, we made special mention of the families of the 2/2...

I have to get off the computer now, he's up.
