My son had PIR 05/01 and headed to San Antonio for A School.  They are set to graduate 08/18, originally 08/20.  Anyone else here with that group?  My son got his "soft" orders on Friday.  He got his dream sheet location of Rota, Spain.  Told me his friend got Italy.  Drew7062, are we talking about the same young man?

Single lady; Awwwww I know how you feel my son just got orders to go to Japan and I'm happy for him that's where he water to go. I know you miss him but just be happy... (HUGS))). He'll be just fine. I don't talk to my son much now and he's in A school in San Antonio but I have to let him go. Can he get leave from Japan to fly home for a few days or can you fly there. They still get leave right? Whinin those 2 years are you able to see him? What about holidays.

Hootsmom: my son is not in that group but he's been in San Antonio for 2 months now and has 2 months to go. He has a lot more freedom, he's now phase 3 which means he can leave base over night. He Inuit received orders to Japan which was number1 on his dream sheet. But you have to score really high in A school to get to go to Japan and Hawaii they are the most sought after places to go. I'm proud of him and all the kids. One of his friends from boot camp that is now in A school is reporting to Italy. How great is that wow.

Our son just graduated bc on 6/19 and reported directly to Ft Sam Houston for A school. His tentative graduation date is 10/9...I would love to connect with anyone else in that group.

Voted and shared!  I love your photo so much too - you're blessed to have such a great son and daughter-in-law  :)  Please vote, everyone!  Facebook link to vote for IDCmom#1's DIL

Corpsmen loved ones, I have a favor to ask.  If you are on Facebook, would you please go to this link and vote for the photo my daughter posted of us.  It is to win something from a local jeweler and my daughter is discouraged that her friends are not voting.  My son is the corpsman but my daughter is a NICU nurse taking care of tiny babies who only live because of the attention of the NICU.  I know it would really boost her spirits after a hard 13 hour shift if you voted.

This is the link.  The photo is a bride touching heads with her smiling mother on her wedding day (Feb 28, 2015).  My all time favorite photo.

Thank you so much.
