soon all of your sons will be sailors :) Then off to Fort Sam to begin classes to become Corpsman ... Let's remember they have to get through this hurdle first and then the next before you can call them Corpsman. . I don't mean to be disrespecting anyone here.. It's hard work and your children have only just begun.
Thank you

Marcy, thankd for posting this.  I remember when this happened as he is from not far from where I live.  I saw his picture on the wall of fallen Corpsman at Anderson Hall when I was there in July 2012 at my son's graduation.  Chokes me up just thinking about it.  Love that the dogs name is Ryley.

Here's a story that touched my heart and will yours, too - Mom honors her son's memory in helping another corpsman.  Ryley was less than a month into his deployment in Afghanistan when he died in 2011.  Blessings to them all...

Marcy . I hope the medics and corpsman will have a lot of security forces with them . That area is full of war lords and terrorists.

In the news today: U.S. to send up to 3,000 troops to battle Ebola in Africa "The U.S. effort will include medics and corpsmen for treatment and training, engineers to help erect the treatment facilities and specialists in logistics to assist in patient transportation….The officials said it would take about two weeks to get U.S. forces on the ground."
