My son changed from a double room to a triple. He thinks that it will stay that way until he graduates.
beckms, My guy moved again this week, also. And, as you know, our guys have been there the same amount of time. I don't know how they're deciding who to put where, because when I talked to my guy last night he said he only had one roommate and he has a kitchen in his room, not down the hall. I'm with you on the eating out part. That is the only thing my guy seems to be spending money on.
Hi Moms, My son, who has been at the DLI since late October, moved this week into a new building and has two new roommates. After the initial settling in process where they move a couple of times, is it common to make moves from time to time during their stay on the post? One positive is that his new building has a communal kitchen. He has been spending WAY too much on eating out because he doesn't like the chow hall food.
We Skype regularly with our son. The connection is ok and I get to see his sweet face! It has been fun to meet his roomie and a few other friends as they wander in and out of the room. I think his internet package is $40 a month but he is a BIG football fan and uses it to watch games and movies too.
Hi!
Anyone know anything about the wifi hook ups at Presidio? My dau tries to facetime at the px but cannot get the facetime to work, I think the bandwidth is low. She says they are not giving out new accounts at this time? Would like to see her on facetime...also, any suggestions on a newbie coming into Presidio?
Thanks!
Oh, Florida girl.. that will be such a nice suprise!!! Please find my KC and give him a hug for me!!! I want to zip myself up in your suitcase!! I have been able to use FaceTime now with my boy (twice so far) b/c someone on his floor has wi-fi and we both have iphones now. He only has wifi 'til the end of January though. It's a cool type of video chat. I asked him to pleeeaaase buy internet service so we can continue to do it!! I even saw his BFF in yesterday's chat.
Are you wanting to fly to Monterey for a surprise?
I have a huge favor to ask of you CTI moms/fiances/gf/etc! My boyfriends birthday is at the end of February. I am under the impression they will have Presidents Day (Washington's birthday) off because they get federal holidays and this is considered to be one of those. I do not want to ask him because it would ruin the surprise. I am trying to elicit help from anyone who is willing to help me. The 4 day weekend would be between Feb. 17-20. Thank you. I appreciate any help =)
