Thanks Everyone!  It sounds like a good deal to just go with the Navy Lodge, then, I'm sure it won't be a problem to have my Sailor with me to check in.  I'm so excited to go see her and the area she calls home for now!

Debbie in MD--I can only find a website for the Navy Lodge that's in/near the Post Naval Grad School. Do you know where I can find the info for the Navy Lodge near the Presidio you are talking about? (When I go to the Navy Lodge site and click "Monterey", only the Grad School one show up.) Thanks!

Thank you!  It's always helpful to speak with people who've been there before and can provide honest feedback :)

Wow, that is a great deal!  We will be going up there next month.  I'll have to let my husband know (he is retired Air Force) so we'll be good on check in :)

Good to know - I didn't even know there was a Navy Lodge there in Monterey.  I'll have to look into that too :)  Thank you for the extra info!

The only thing about the presidio is your sailor  has to escort you on and off base, my husband was there last month and he stayed on night and then moved to the navy lodge just off base, he was very happy with it.

Darlene - your daughter should be able to get you into the Presidio lodging there.  Check with her to see what the rates are....you can also go to the following website and see what the prices are:  http://www.pomlodging.com/

Hi CTI Moms!  I am planning a quick visit to Monterey to see my daughter in late March, and I'm looking for ideas for a cheap but nice hotel, close to the base.  I wonder if the Navy Lodge would work?  We had a good experience at the Navy Lodge at Great Lakes.  But, I'm looking for a few good choices that won't break the bank.  Any ideas?
