We also stayed at the NPS Lodge they are really nice, my daughter is comign home today for a flying visit, going back Sunday but since we will not se her at Christmas we are Thankful for what we get.
NYRican924, Have a wonderful time. We all wish we were there with our kiddo's. Give them all a hug for us!!
My son just informed met that he is coming home for Christmas!!! And I'm really super happy b/c he's coming home for Christmas and then going to his Air Force girlfriend's ( the one he met at DLI) home state for New Years!! I don't mind sharing him like this. I feel like he is a kid with divorced parents. I get him for Christmas and SHE gets him for the New Year holdiday! hahaha I wonder if their long distance romance will work. I know the distance is bad enough, but the fact that they are in 2 different branches of the military??? Any thoughts on this one?
Dee, I can see why your would go to Hawaii for a short trip for that grandaughter, forget the sun..She is beautiful......
Dee she is adorable!
ProudMom my daughter has started a relationship at DLI. She is extremely happy. I just hope they both finish and don't end up seperated. God's plan only time will tell!
SarahsMom(Ship03/Div176) - we are from Kansas. She looks familiar to me and they very possibly know each other.
KC'smom - It is so very difficult to give up our children when they find someone they like. My daughter has met someone she really likes at CTI school, but they aren't pursuing anything since they are in school. I think that is a healthy attitude, "get through school first, and if it is meant to be, the relationship will still be there when they are done". So hopefully your son will have the same attitude and their relationship can survive this.
Jangles - I am green with envy that you are going to Hawaii even if it is a whirlwind trip. I hope you have an awesome time!!!
Dee- this young lady is same language but due to different branch of military.... she will either go to Europe or right by my house here in Maryland! She doesn't have her orders yet- they actually stay at DLI after graduation to learn 1 more very similar language. My son will DIE if she gets stationed right by momma! hahahaha. I hope she does b/c that way we can all be together on holidays. hee hee.
Dee- when I went to my son's graduation in September he informed me that he actually has a girlfriend. They met in class- problem is she's an air force sargent and will be sent off to a different country. So....... I had to share my time with HER!! At first, I was upset. But, she was beautiful and nice! I hope they can continue to meet up on breaks and maybe carry on a long distance relationship. It's just gonna suck that I have to share my son now.
