Oh a short trip to paradise. I have never been to Hawaii. Maybe my son will be stationed there. :)

Dee, where will you be going to have Thanksgiving with them? I am not sure why he gets to come home. We are very glad he is. His siblings are not going to be able to attend his graduation and are looking forward to seeing him as we all are.

Proudmom, I bet our girls know one another. Where are you all from? We are in Texas.

Good to hear from you DocRenee. All I know is that my son told me that he got to come home for 10 days after graduation. I am not sure what day he will need to report to Monterey. He says he will be calling me this Friday the 16th early for the information I had to gather for his security clearance. I will ask him what day he has to report. Charlie is in Ship 11 Div 037. i am looking forward to seeing him in Chicago, however traveling to the midwest at Christmas has its draw backs. I pray for no snow...

Hi Dee, Wow we are almost neighbors. Is your Sailor in CTI now? Mine is still in BC, graduating on 12-21-12.

Jangles: I just joined this site last nite and my son is also graduating from Boot Camp 12/21/12 and is going to Monterey. He is married so I haven't talked to him personally. He wrote me a letter saying he can come home after graduation. We cannot go to graduation because I am caring for my 93 year old mom so I could use some helpful information. You say your son can come home for 10 days? When does he need to report for CTI at Monterey? We live in the LA area so not far away. I assume I will need to buy him a ticket home on 12/21 and then get him to Monterey but do you know the date they have to report to Monterey? I don't know much about boot camp but know my son was sick and is now ok. Jangles, what Div is your son in?

She graduated on 6/30/12.  She was in div 930 and was a flag carrier

Proudmom, when did you daughter graduate from boot camp? Mine was 6/8/12.

Well, my daughter is doing okay in language school.  She is carrying a 98.5 gpa if what she told me is correct.  I may have misunderstood how their grading system works but not for sure.

She loves it at CTI school, she says there is always something to do and places to see and things to eat.  For Veterans Day, all the local restaurants were giving away free food.  I don't know how she stays so thin, but she does. LOL

I am dying to see both my youngest children this Christmas!  There is never enough time either.  She will be home from CTI and her brother (with his wife) will be home from the Army. They are expecting their first baby and ITS A GIRL!!!!  So now my hubby and I will be grandparents for the 6th time - we are stoked!

I can't wait for the 2 military kids to get together cause they are always trashing the other's military branch.  It is hilarious and good clean fun :)

jangles... my middle child thinks the world is coming to an end on 12-21-12, hahaaaha. Saw the date and had to laugh. (he's 12).   My son is now a CTI but he is in a school on Whitbey Island, Washington. Wish I was in Washington with you all!!!
