Irene, I'm so glad to hear that every went well. Don't be a hero, take your pain meds when you need them.

I'm going in for some minor surgery tomorrow. Its not a big deal just boringly complicated to explain. I may be away from the computer for a couple of days. So here's wishing everyone a good weekend.

Irene, That's wonderful news. Basal Cell type of skin cancer is very common and not at all dangerous. Now, just remember to always use your sun screen. LOL

Kery, Congradulations to your sailor. That is wonderful. I hope C school goes as well.

I hadn't seen my son since last Sept. So it was great to be able to spend the weekend with him. Even if it was spent helping him move and paint his new townhouse. He said that he works in a "safe" or vault and that because of the hours he works sometime, he never sees when it gets dark. Its daylight when he gets to work and its dawn when he leaves. Still don't know where he works or what he does.

Irene, You are certainly in my prayers. I hope you get the best possible news.

SueS, He bought a townhouse in Virginia Beach. It was a short sale and is a bit of a fixer. So we now get to talk house ( paint, carpeting, new kitchen, bathrooms, etc.). My husband and I also just bought a townhouse here in Pittsburgh and we are in the process of putting in a new kitchen. Finally, my son and I have enough to talk about to last a normal length phone call. He's so proud of himself for getting his financial house in order and being able to afford this townhouse. And of course I am proud of him as well.

Hi All, I just got back from visitiing my CTN2 in Virginia Beach. We helped him move into his new home and spent the weekend painting and moving furniture. The good thing about his buying a home is that we now have something to talk about.

Hi Ladies, I'm off the spend the 4th with my son down in Norfolk. He's closing on his new townhouse on the 3rd, so we'll be helping him move from his apartment. At least we'll have something to talk about. Have a good 4th and I'll be back on Monday.

I just talked to my son. He was awarded a citation or award for....something....by some one.... for a job..... that I have no explanation of..... Ah, the life of a CT mom. I get to be proud of him. I just don't know for what???? Well, at least the Navy recognized him for his hard work at "something."
