For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son says there is a high fence around it with the barbed wire on top. Just like a prison. LOL

Ha now that is a beard! I wish I could tell which building on Google Earth. Usually there is a fence around it.

idahojeep my oldest was stationed whidbey for 3 years. He is AT though. My son said the secure compound that the CT's work in is called the womens prison. A nickname that it was given as he said it looks like a prison. LOL It does rain up there a lot. My oldest is also jealous his younger brother can grow a beard. Here is what he looks like now.

Ha navymom3 mine cannot even grow beards! #2 is very glad to have gotten Whidbey and also glad to have gotten dir sup. They are both on ships in Yoko for the last 3 years.

idahojeep my son is dir sup in yokosuka. He is CTM though. He was assigned a ship and went out with it when it went out. But didnt have to sleep on it. And worked in the shop when the ship was in port. Mine hasn't been able to look for orders yet as he is out on a SM. He is almost done though and man has his beard gotten long.

Well it has been a long almost 4 years for my twin sons. #1 son will be getting out hopefully in August and coming home from Japan. #2 son will be reenlisting and has gotten his next duty station - Whidbey in Washington. Which is so awesome because it is only 5-6 hours from home! So he will be leaving Yokosuka also in August he thinks.
He got Dir Sup and Craig you have lots of info on that?
