National Security Agency’s COMINT Signals Analysis Program (MCSAP)

Craig, you are a knowledgeable guy.  Do you what the MCSAP program is? My son just applied for this.  I do know it's a 6yr commitment.   He told me "it's small and you won't find out anything about it." He should know by now not to underestimate his mother. From what he said it will look good on his Navy/post Navy record.   True??

All sailors have the right to keep a private as possible or not. It is their life.

However, I hope they are not fooled to think no one can figure out their job.  If someone really wanted to "hunt" a CT sailor down to get them to commit espionage or whatever, then all they would have to do is look up their name from the advancement list, and plug it into facebook.  Every award ceremony has the names and rating listed too.  Everyone knows the big CT websites. If the Navy didn't want for people to know their rating, then they wouldn't openly publish the advancement list in the news.

Just my opinion...

Woo-hoo, 1st two Information Dominance Warfare Specialist (IDW) go to two CTN's.

Congrats to CTN1(IDW) Theresa Verity and CTN1(IDW) Michelle Krecota.
Well Done!

You should be able to just put last and first name as long as you have the right PO number.  I put my sons rate and he has never said anything.  The sailors handling the mail I'm sure don't care about his rate and like Carig has said he walks around the ship with his rate showing.  My son was never told not to tell people his rate or to close his facebook page.  Like Craig said they like to play jokes on the newbies.

I have been able to go on the navy dep site for some reason the navy dad site says it is a social media site and that's why it is blocked at work. That just happened about 4 mos. ago.
Comment by Craig on March 12, 2013 at 9:22am

cinder - Can you check to see if my website is blocked?  I'm kind of curious.

Heck my daughter sent me a shirt that says DLI on the front with script in her language and on the back it says "We learn------------ so you don't have to"

Comment by cinder on March 12, 2013 at 12:23am

I agree at work I'm not allowed on facebook my only connection is N4M.  They have blocked Navy Dads but not our site. Yay.  It is important to get info everywhere.

Comment by Craig on March 11, 2013 at 11:49pm

I totally agree with you clockard.  I hadn't a clue about Facebook, but I thought I'd give it a try to get those that don't know how to use N4M's an outlet.  We need to keep both of the groups going...
