After an even longer ordeal than expected, all is good and DC portion of A School started on Friday.  Does anyone here know if parent can attend graduation?  Master at Arms has a full formal ceremony.  Wondering how different this is.

Wiffer peanut, I am glad it's all working out!  Tell your sailor to hang in there, it does get better after A school!

Because you were so kind to take interest in our sailor’s plight with the Navy, I thought I would share that all charges were dismissed this afternoon at about 16:00. We came down to visit and right before we arrived the phase privileges were restored and was allowed to stay with us at our hotel tonight.  Thank you all for your prayers!  It’s been a long 29 days!

Thank you! Meeting with legal today. We've been told it will be dismissed but the stress of it has not been good.

Prayers Wiffer peanut!

Comment by Wiffer peanut on July 24, 2018 at 12:49pm

I need prayer for my sailor. They were falsely accused of something and has been placed into phase 1 and was not allowed to phase up to 3 while the investigation takes place. One sailor did something wrong and accused 1/2 of the class in participating but only 2 others participated and those three are being chapertered out. Now everything is in turmoil. Prayers please.

I feel like the first few months were the worst.  Once he got into A school things started to calm down a little.  He started to figure out the system and was able to contact us and his girlfriend.  He went off base and explored.

It was (and is) hard for me as a mom to have my oldest so far away.  He left last July, so it's been almost a year.  He was home over Christmas, but won't be home again until Christmas this year, so about a year!  It was a little hard a few weeks ago when all of my friends started posting that their college kids were coming home for the summer.  I have readjusted now again though!
